Fall / winter Fashion 2007 – some looks I like

I was sitting at the hairdresser earlier this week and browsing through a fashion magazine (forgot which one exactly), and I decided to sketch some of my favourite looks for this fall:

Fall looks

Look number 1:

A wide tunic is worn over a turtle neck. Preferably the tunic has 3/4 lengths sleeves, you know, for the layering effect. Opaque tights. Ballet flats or low, flat booties. (Yippee, flats!)

If going out this winter, a hat should be worn. I love hats! For a coat, anything cape-like will do. Again, preferably with 3/4 length sleeves and gloves!

Now, I don’t really do bold colors, but if you’re into it, you earn fashion points!

Obviously I really need that over-sized bag this season (should have gotten it last year already *^*#). But I don’t DARE to tell my husband!

Look number 2:

Is more lady like. I think I have to be careful not to look like a serious mum here. But I have a feeling it can be super elegant! A high waisted, knee length skirt with a nice pattern is combined with a turtleneck. Some chunky jewelry would be nice (this is a problem; I don’t normally wear much jewelry, let alone chunky! But I guess I could try). Opaque tights, always. A low bootie with a high heel would be cool, or a pump with a high heel.

Look number 3:

Here is a chance to re-use my expensive woolen slouchy trousers that I bought when I was working in NY and are now gathering dust in my closet. Wear with turtle neck & elegant scarf. Boots. Clutch bag. Check!

Look number 4:

Rock Chick! Skinny jeans, fitted blazer (some more career wear gathering dust in the closet!) – to combine with cool sneakers (Emma Hope, Ash, Converse). Et voila.

Key investments still to make for looking cool this season:

1. Loads of turtlenecks

2. A tunic that doesn’t make me feel as if my belly went out for camping

3. New ballet flats (my Repetto’s are really worn out)

4. Over-sized bag and clutch bag

5. Big supply of tights.
